Chick Picks: Pick it REAL Good!
For the NFL Wildcard Weekend, we based our picks on coin flips and a physical hate for certain playoff teams. Thanks to that strategy, we were 3 for 4, better than most of the sports analysts. For this weekend’s division championship games, you’d think we’d stick to the mantra “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” But there’s too much at stake in these games. In some match-ups, we love both teams. In other match-ups, we loathe both. So instead of leaving our picks up to fate, we’ll go with our gut and sleep easy knowing that at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that the LSU won this week and the Saints can’t lose this weekend.
Chargers vs. Colts: This is a tough one. We love the Colts, primarily because of the Dungy factor, but now that they’ve gotten the Super Bowl Monkey off their backs, we can’t say they still inspire that underdog spirit. Meanwhile, we think L.T.’s one classy stud who deserves a shot at some ring bling of his own. At the end of the day, we’ve got to cheer for the team with a better shot at beating the Patriots in the event that those little devils make it to the AFC Championship game.
Chick Pick: Colts by 14
Seahawks vs Green Bay: “We want the ball, and we’re gonna score!” That was Matt Hassleback’s bold prediction against Green Bay after the coin toss in a 2003 playoff game. Wasn’t true then, not true now.
Chick Pick: Pack by 10
Jags at Pats: We hate them, we don’t care that everyone thinks they will win. We want them stopped. Biggest upset in history please! GO JAGS GO! GO JAGS GO!!

Giants at ‘Boys: Well, word on the street is that Jinxy Jessica Simpson won’t be attending this one, so there’s a chance Romo could have a quarterback rating in double digits. But word on the street is that T.O.’s still gimpy, making this a tricky one. We physically loathe the Cowboys but only passively hate the Giants. Still, the Cowboys have a better shot at beating the Pats if things don’t go our way in the AFC. Man this is tough…

Going out on a limb with two of you picks (Jags and G-men), and I like it. I had trouble picking against the top seeds this weekend, but I could see a few of them go down.
One thing is for sure … it is going to be a good weekend of playoff football.
The Saints are undefeated for about 7 months. If you don’t count preseason, about 8.
I thought you made a mistake saying that Romo might be in DOUBLE digits when noting Jessica Simpson wouldn’t be at the game, then I realized you were referring to him getting better than a 9.9. HA!!!!!!!
You know, though, I’m Mr. Formidable and I say the Cowboys are producing and playing good football right now.
I’m just trying to make a prediction on the Cowboys vs. Packers NFC Championship Game.
I want the Packers to win and they satisfy my need for formidability at the same time. I not quite sure yet, but I might just slip over to favoring Green Bay.
It’s okay to look ahead now, it’s January, and there’s no Saints to be had.
By the way, there’s a lot of LSU Alums on the Patriots……(and the Colts).
