Saints Go ‘Gay’ for New Cornerback
Who needs salary cap killer Asante’ Samuel when you can get another tried and true Patriots free agent, with a much more fabulous last name? The Saints signed Louisiana boy Randall Gay to a $17.6 million dollar contract. The deal comes with a $3.75 million signing bonus.
(Said with a lisp) Super!
Gay (hehe, “gay”)…comes from Brusly, LA and he played at LSU. The 25 year old cornerback racked up 38 tackles and three interceptions last season when he primarily played the role of safety. He played in the Super Bowl with the Pats in his rookie year and was the leading tackler.
This new deal means the Saints are using the offseason to seriously address their secondary needs. It also means the NFL will finally be forced to let me get a Saints jersey with the word Gay on the back. Two snaps!
