NKOTB: The Saints Remix

new-kids.jpg

“Step by step, oooooh baby,” the Saints are rebuilding their defense in the offseason.  Among the “new kids on the block” is Carolina Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan.   The former pro-bowler has seen limited play in the past two seasons due to an Achilles tendon injury.  He will likely be competing for a starting role against Scott Shanle.

So who else has got the “Right Stuff” to suit up with the Saints this fall?  The Chicks break it down after the jump.

The New Kids:

Jonathan Vilma a.k.a. Jordan Knight (Linebacker)-Formerly with the Jets

Randall Gay a.k.a. Joey McIntyre (Cornerback)-Formerly with the Pats

Bobby McCray a.k.a Donnie Wahlberg (Defensive)-Formerly with the Jaguars

Dan Morgan a.k.a. Jonathan Knight (Linebacker)-Formerly with the Panthers

(Once again, the least favorite New Kid gets the shaft.  Poor Danny Wood.)

Hangin’ Tough:

Devery Henderson (WR)-Re-signed (contract terms undisclosed)

David Patten (WR)-Re-signs 2 year contract

Aaron Stecker (RB)-Re-signed (contract terms not released)

Brian Young (DT)-Re-signs 3 year contract

Mark Simoneau (LB)-Re-signed (contract terms undisclosed)

Jason David (CB)-Re-signs (Are you freaking kidding me?! What the F#@!)

(If You) Go Away!:

Brian Simmons-Released

Jeff Faine (Center)- Off to Tampa Bay

Matt McCoy –Off to Tampa Bay   (Wow, someone was really horny for our sloppy seconds, eh TB?)

And now for your listening pleasure…
