Notes on a Minicamp

New Orleans Saints Website

Wanna know how Deuce McAllister performed on his repaired knee at minicamp?  Get the news straight from the stallion’s mouth.  In an interview with reporters, Deuce spoke positively about his recovery, saying his past experience rehabbing from knee surgery will help him out this time around.  His team leader Drew Brees also weighed in on Deuce’s progress, giving props to his teammate for seemingly overcoming yet another major health setback.

Meanwhile, Tyler Palko went out of his way to make WWII Veteran/Saints QB backup Mark Brunell look like a spring chicken.  According to nola.com, Palko fumbled a few snaps, overthrew a few receivers, and even fell down.  Is this guy trying to secure the #2 spot behind Drew Brees or trying to secure a prominent showing in the next installment of NFL follies?  The poor bastard…

Oh, and we should probably also mention that Will Smith and Marques Colston showed up as promised.  And the word on the street is that Smith’s agent is close to making a deal.  Stay tuned…

Meanwhile, the Chicks have scored yet another sponge-worthy interview.  We’re talking to the current first lady of Saints football, Beth Payton. Stay tuned to hear all “The Mrs.” had to say about her leading man.
