Game Day Chick Clicks: Brought to you by the Women Who HATE Fantasy Football

When you love football as much as these chicks do, you find it hard to imagine what it’s like to be…well, like most other women. What’s it like to not count down to or care about draft day parties, preseason games, midseason trades, offseason acquisitions, and fantasy football? What’s it like to watch Lifetime movies on a Sunday…in October (gasp!)?

Well apparently, some very fed up women want all of us to know exactly what life is like to be widowed between August and December. They’ve created a controversial new website called Women Against Fantasy Sports. I checked out the site and it seems harmless enough. Just a few frustrated ladies who are sick of their hubbies and boyfriends making them play second fiddle to a fantasy football obsession. Instead of experiencing the thrill of emasculating their significant other by not only beating his fantasy football team but writing your team name in lipstick on his chest while he sleeps… they’d rather just spoon on a Tuesday morning. And hey, I say to each his own. (Although I gotta tell you ladies, you don’t know what you’re missing…)

The notion that these women would dare join forces rather than conform has caused quite a stir on the internets. From nasty comments left on their homepage to other bloggers coming to their defense, it seems we can peacefully disagree on everything from politics to religion, but when it comes to Fantasy Football, the gloves come off!

Click here to check out the site and form your own opinion and here to read some interesting perspective on the backlash.

The Saints suck, but this blog is very good. This article was especially good. I couldn’t stop laughing. The wife needs to join that organization.

Hey, I love sports…REAL sports! I was supportive of his new hobby…I have done the cheering for my husband when he STARTED playing fantasy football. That of course was when he was in one or two leauges. Now with the number of leauges in the double digits my enthusiasm and patience has gone out the window. Read some of the unbelievable, hilarious stories and you will see I am not alone.
