The Ultimate Karma Cleanser

Well Saints fans, it’s obvious we all did some dirt in our former lives. Why else would we have been born fans of the most emotionally draining team in the history of the world? So what better time than the holiday season to get our karma cleaner than Howie Mandell’s freakishly sanitized hands.

That’s why on this day, I present to you, “The House that Chicks in the Huddle Built.” We’re working hard to build a home for a New Orleans family in need as part of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation. With your help, we can do our “Saintly” duty by raising money for building supplies, construction, etc. to build an eco-friendly, flood-proof home in the Lower 9th Ward, one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina.

We know times are tight…for everybody. Hell, I’ll be lucky if Santa doesn’t climb down my chimney just to rob me on Christmas morning. Still, we here at Chicks in the Huddle are firm believers that when you scratch the universe’s back, the Saints go to the Super Bowl in 2010…or something like that.

So look under that crap on your desk for pennies (Saintseester), save the money you would have spent on that 5th Long Island Tea (Mother Hen), avoid adding diamonds to that Golden Spoon (Chef Who Dat), tell that Bandwagon Chick to buy her own boob job (Grandmaster Wang), sell a few extra douche bags (Jake Who Dat), trade in those press passes for cash (Alejandro) and don’t drop the ball on this one (Hakim). Head to the Make it Right Foundation website and click on the “Donate Now” button at the top of the page. Enter your donation amount and click “Make Donation.” When you’re filling out the information on the Donation page, be sure to choose “The House that Chicks in the Huddle Built” under the “Team Sponsored Home Options” tab. Our goal is to raise at least $500 by the Super Bowl $1,000 by draft day, and $5,000 by the next training camp. In other words, feel free to donate more than once. ;)

We Chicks need you. More importantly, the families struggling even more than the rest of us in this crappy economy need you. Even more importantly, the Saints need you! Spread the word to your friends, Saints fans and non-Saints fans alike (ugh). Remember that all your contributions to Make It Right are tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.

Still not convinced? You Scrooge! Here’s a video to help remind you of the importance of a little thing called karma.

I’m in. And bling on the spoons? Nice idea. Would that be appropriate before or after a 9-7 disappointing finish?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH genius in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said 9-7 before this whole damn thing.

I’ll tell you what offseason acquisition I’m makin. In fact, it’s not really an acquisition. We don’t need free agents. I’m puttin Voodoo crap on the free agent list this year.

    Chef:

According to Emily Post and Martha Stewart, you add the bling to the spoon AFTER the 9-7 but before the 16-0 season.

I thought you would be up on that kind of information!

I knew I should have stayed away from those New England Patriot like numbers mindlessly and constantly tossed out!!
