It’s not even football season and yet somehow, Drew Brees continues to impress.
Not only is our sexy QB hosting a celebrity concert to raise money for his charity, the Dream Brees Foundation, but he’s also been tapped to receive a JB Award. The awards honor players for their contributions to the community and their individual efforts on the field. According to nola.com,
“Brees has become one of the most prolific passers in the NFL. Brees is tied for first all-time in league annals in completions per game (21.8) with former Byron “Whizzer” White Award winner Peyton Manning. In 2008, Brees led the NFL in completions (413) and passing yards (5,069) and won the AP Offensive Player of the Year Award. He played the first five years of his career in San Diego, where he won the Comeback Player of the Year Award for taking the Chargers from 4-12 in 2003 to 12-4 in 2004.
Through the Brees Dream Foundation, the star quarterback has worked with Operation Kids to help rebuild parks, playground facilities, academic programs and more in New Orleans.”
As for his celebrity benefit concert, it’s going on in May and will feature Rock and Roll legends like Little Richard and Chuck Berry. The concert will take place May 30th at the New Orleans Arena.
