Steelers Training Camp Schedule

Feel like getting some signatures and pictures and watching our boys in black and gold get ready for an unprecedented seventh Super Bowl run? Yep, I know, that’s a pretty dumb question. Of course you do!

2784000541_a5a25fbdacThe Steelers have finally announced their training camp schedule. Mark your calendars for August 1. The Steelers report on July 31 and have their first open practice the day after. The wait is almost over!

From August 1 until August 20, the Steelers will have open afternoon practices, which means you can go watch! The only days you can’t come are August 7, 12, 13, and 14. Keep in mind we play the Arizona Cardinals (preseason, baby!!!) on August 13. The boys even practice on Sundays! So you don’t even have an excuse that work will get in the way. You don’t even have to pay to get in! Use that money to buy some Steelers stuff.

Your best bet is to get there by 2:55 p.m., when practice begins. They’ll be at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. You can get some autographs after the practice is over. But keep in mind there’s no videotaping. (No need to repeat Spygate, right? Ravens fans, you’re not allowed in!)

Get excited! We’re that much closer to kicking off the season.

On another note, expect to see the Steelers supporting the Penguins, who were supremely struggling (the understatement of the year) last Saturday. Not the best way to represent the Burgh, especially with a 5-0 score and some really stupid penalties. Let’s hope they can redeem themselves and bring the Cup home. I’ll be watching!
