The Jets Hit it…and Quit it

PH2009102502074
Hit It-A win. Finally. Need more of these. Seriously.

Quit It-for the second week in a row, the Jets lost a very important part of their team to a season ending injury. This time? Leon Washington-Running Back, Punt returner, and all around fabulous Jet. He will be sorely missed.

Hit It-Luckily young Shonn Greene filled in quite well, scoring two touchdowns and rushing for yards. He is nominated as NFL Rookie of the Week.

Hit It Again-Jim Leonhard also filled in well on kick returns/ST duties.

Quit It-running with the ball unprotected Mark Sanchez. A good team would have stripped you and run it back the other way.

Hit It-The Defense almost looked like itself again. Calvin Pace…just wow. He played like a man possessed. Or a man playing against a terrible O-Line. Nice picks by Revis and Leonhard as well.

Quit It-Acting like this was some great season changing victory. They beat the Raiders. The comments from coaches/players just seem way out of hand.

I can’t be too upset though. It was nice to get a win to go with the Yankees Pennant.
