Gonna Fly Now…

I just ran up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art with Tony Romo and we raised our hands in victory when we reached the top.
I know, I know. SO cheesy … and all in my head but that’s not the point.
The point is we have a reason to celebrate! Numero uno in the division and what a difference from the last time the Cowboys were in the land of Rocky.

CowboyChick’s list of things that are different from the last time we played the Eagles –

1. We didn’t get slaughtered/murdered/destroyed/you name it. 44 – 6 (I just wrote that score from last season with my eyes closed…pretty talented). This time it was 20 – 16, Cowboys, woot woot!! Take that, big birds!!

2. The rest of the list should probably be a sublist of 1. above because it details the reasons we didn’t get slaughtered/murdered/destroyed but I’m not in law school anymore so my outlines don’t have to make sense.
3. See, I’m already on 3. Take that, Professor Rogers!
4. I digress.

5. We’re looking more and more like a team. I credit this to the ridding of the bad boys (TO, Pacman, Tank). I even predicted it! See Deepak Chopra Visits Cowboys Training Camp.

6. Romo is healthy and playing well. All of his digits are in working order. Knock on wood. Thank you.

7. A certain undrafted Jersey Boy has come into his own closing the deal on Sunday with the winning touchdown.
Undrafted. From “ever hear of it” Monmouth University. Good ol’ New Jersey.
If that’s not a Rocky story, I don’t know what is.
Have I mentioned that Miles Austin and I both have ties to New Jersey?! Read here and here in case you didn’t know.

Next game – Green Bay. Look out, Cheeseheads. The Cowboys took a bite out of that Philly Cheesesteak and they’re getting HUNGRIER every day!!!
Gonna fly now…. My legs hurt.
