Tommorrow afternoon, Da Bears are heading up to Minnesota to pay Grandpa Favre a little holiday visit. I’m not the least bit optimistic about the outcome of this game. We’ve lost the last four games in a row, and the Vikings have won the last four.
That said, to humor my fellow Bears fans, I’ve compiled a list of creative reasons why I think we might have a chance to win tommorrow’s game.
1. We’re due for a win, and Minnesota is due for a loss. Da Bears have a strange way of beating great teams and losing to bad ones. It’s our specialty. I still can’t believe we beat the Steelers earlier this season.
2. The game is at 3:15 p.m. central time, which is about 45 minutes before Grandpa Favre’s dinner time. He’s going to be famished to the point of weakness by the time the game ends at 6 pm.
3. The stamina factor. Cutler is half the age of Favre. If you recall, Jet Favre’s season kinda completely fell apart in 2008, about halfway through. Hmm…it was about this time last year that the Jets went from amazing-town to suckville. Maybe this will be the game that marks Favre’s second decline.
4. Favre used to be a Packer. Our defense has been intercepting him for years.
5. It’s Christmas. The season of miracles. Let this be one of them.

Dare I say this, but I am so rooting for y’all tomorrow!
Let’s hope the team doesn’t give Grandpa any Ovaltine in the morning…
Grandpa seemed to get a shot of viagra in the arm. ouch!!
