Morale is low over here at Bucs Chick Central. I know, I know, the Bucs played a much better game this weekend. But also? They lost. Again. Sigh.
Hit It: DC Raheem. As a Defensive Coordinator, Raheem ain’t too shabby. Kinda makes you wonder what this year might have been like with the Gruden/Raheem tandem.
Quit It: Coach Raheem. I won’t belabor the point, but aggressive special teams play in the fourth quarter likely lost us the game. Which is not to say that I don’t like aggressive coaching, just that I’d rather see it on the offense.
Hit It: Special Teams. Other than punter/QB 2 Dirk Johnson’s botched play and the missed long FG, this group rocked it out again. Decent run backs, successfully downing the ball at the one yard line, and another blocked punt to set up a touchdown.
Quit It: Special Teams Injuries. Torrie Cox is on injured reserve, which means not so much to the secondary, but he’s a heads-up special teams player. Also, Dirk Johnson is out for the year. But, really, we couldn’t do much worse, so this is only a half-Quit.
Side Note: I am submitting an official request for punter CJ Koegel from The Real World: Cancun to take Johnson’s place. I mean, come on. Sideline cameras could follow him foofing his hair and unsuccessfully hitting on the cheerleaders during the game, and then they can show it on the Jumbotron when we’re down by more than 2 touchdowns. It’s perfect. Let’s start a campaign.

Down by 20? Let's watch CJ wax his chest! It'll be fun!
Hit It: Josh Freeman to Antonio Bryant. Please sir, can we have some more?
Quit It: Clock Management. If the opposing team has a chance to score, and there are 40 seconds left in the game, you maybe don’t want to use your last time out. Unless there is a really good reason for it. (Which, apparently, there was not.)
Hit It: The Defense. Yes, Chris Redman was the QB, but I don’t care if we’re playing against Dirk Johnson. 6 sacks is 6 sacks. Also, fewer than 75 rushing yards allowed! Yowza! (And don’t give me the whole “Michael Turner was injured!” thing, because I have Snelling on my fantasy team, and he killed it against the Giants the week before. So there.)
