Bills 31, Dolphins 14. This “Hit it & Quit it” certainly needs no introduction.
Hit it! Ryan Fitzpatrick. 246 yards passing under heavy rush (and we know you have zero protection)! Not to mention 50 yards rushing and a touchdown of your own. There’s really nothing to say except way to effin’ go!
Hit it! Donte Whitner. Second interception of the season! If it weren’t for that pesky thumb of yours, imagine what we could have done with your picking ability and my usually under-justified optimism!
Hit it! Run defense. I am supremely impressed by your improvement. Even though Ricky Williams managed to collect 115 yards, y’all held him to only 36 in the second half. Cheers…there is hope!
Hit it! Drayton Florence. You have stepped it up and deserve some recognition. If I had a dollar for every pass you broke up and double that for your interception, I’d be a rich woman…or at least have enough to afford an order of wings and a pint of Coors Light.
Quit it!…umm…well we had the expected penalties…but there’s nobody worth calling out…not even an offensive lineman…this is a first.
Hit it! Fred Jackson. 73 yards. 2 TDs. Enough said. Welcome to position of featured RB, which is what you should have been all season. And you look good doing it. (I know, I know…you’re a family man…hi Mrs. Freddy J!)
Hit it! Terrell Owens. Your 96 yards, 51-yard touchdown and celebration dances are what I’ve been waiting for. Also, that blue and white striped hat with the tassel that you swapped your red hat for…loves it.
Hit it! Lee Evans. I’ve always loved you and still do. There’s no doubt that Fitzpatrick knows he can always count on you to make a play…like the 32-yard over the shoulder pass you caught to set us up for Lindell’s 44-yard FG attempt.
Hit it! Rian Lindell and Brian Moorman. Lindell: all if forgiven with that 56-yarder in the fourth (you would have been forgiven anyway–you’re consistently reliable). Moorman: talk about accuracy…dropping one around the 2?! Y’all are sometimes undermentioned but never overlooked.
And finally…Hit it! Perry Fewell. Apparently, you lit a fire under this team. They’re excited. They have confidence in themselves. We look like we have an offense. Our already beastly defense is improving (and fairing well amid the countless injuries). If I had been at the Ralph yesterday, I would have totally risked getting tasered by security to give you a hug and pat on the back.
GO BILLS!!!
