Ahh is it time for football again already?! I’m not complaining–football three days a week is better than two–but I hope the Bills are more rested than I am. Facing the Jets in Toronto at a sold-out Rogers Centre, I can only hope we have a less agida-inducing version of the last match up, with the same outcome plus a larger gap between the score…aka let’s win but let’s win big.
Even though Sunday’s game was pretty magnificent in Bills world (and Bills Chick’s easily excitable head), I still stand by my new approach to the season–as long as we play good and continue to improve, I’m happy. That being said, here’s what the Bills should do to make my Friday morning a little less full of water, Advil liquigels and coffee.
>Please, please, please make Freddy J. the featured RB and minimize Marshawn Lynch’s usage. They don’t even have to pretend like he’ll be useful as an extra blocker because I saw his definition of blocking on Sunday and it consisted of standing still and looking around.
>Fitzpatrick will have to perform under pressure again. And, Sanchez’s golden days have fizzled out a bit, so Fitz should be eager to show who’s dominant. Continuing to demonstrate his growing relationship with Terrell and Lee by not being afraid to launch bombs down the field or shoot quick passes into coverage will be essential.
>On that same note, Terrell will have to find a way to outsmart Darrelle Revis. That match up is without a doubt the most anticipated of the game.
>The defense has to contain the Jets run. With Jones and Greene known to trample the secondary, it will be our defense’s job to demonstrate that their solid performance against the run the past two weeks was not a fleeting thing.
>Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Drayton Florence, Donte Whitner, or anyone else that wants to shake up Sanchez by intercepting numerous passes again should feel free to do so.
>Terrence McGee might be cleared to play and if he does we could wind up with decent field position on returns.
>Above all…get ahead, stay ahead, and when all else fails…FINISH the game!
The Bills are in Toronto, they’re excited, Terrell is wearing a really amazing hat…I’m pumped, I’m ready, let’s go!

GO BILLS!!!
