From bad losses to a whippin’?

Okay, so I’m not even going to pretend to think that there is any chance in…well at all, that we are going to beat the Saints this week, I’m a realist, sometimes. I am hoping that the Redskins take this as an opportunity to show their fans, and all the naysayers everywhere, that they aren’t going to go down without a fight. Maybe we’ll even give the Saints a run for their money…

Who am I kidding?

I’ve watched the Saints this season, and I am a complete mess over how painful we’re going to get it handed to us. Last week, as you saw in my previous post, I felt pangs of jealousy while I watched Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Dennis Dixon (a 3rd string QB who is insanely good…I wish Dan Snyder would pay to get him) and Joe Flacco. And, it wasn’t even just the QB’s. All the teams for the QB’s previously mentioned worked like well oiled machines. And then there are teams like the Redskins who continue to baffle their fan base with their lack luster football skills. Hell, Snyder, pay me! I’ll play that badly.

While Haynesworth MAY be back with limited play time, D. Hall is out and I just read that Mike Sellers is probably out. Hey, look!! Jason Campbell is still in. Forgive me for not being more excited about this, but I’m afraid the poor boy will be displaying that odd look of fear in his eyes for the entire game. Mr. Brees…I beg of you! Teach our QB something. Teach him to play outside of the box, and to do so with confidence. Maybe you could give him a little bit of what you have. Maybe?

On the defensive end, the Redskins have GOT to get their act together. I can understand our offense sucks…I don’t accept it, but I’ve come to grips with it, but seriously, didn’t we have a decent defensive game at one point? Was that not the only good thing we had going for us? “Was” being the operative word here. Get it together boys; I’m tired of yelling obscenities at the TV and having to constantly pretend as though I have some reason to defend my undying loyalty to my team. Granted this will never change, but I’d like something good to talk about on Monday morning. Even if you lose, I can take that. Let’s try and make it look nice at least. You know, as if you didn’t actually give up before you got on the field.

May God have mercy on these poor souls…as well as their many, many loyal fans. Now, if by some miracle The Redskins do win…the shock may never wear off. Good luck boys. campbell
