So the past couple of weeks have been pretty happy for me in the way of football. The Jets have won three games in a row, and all the pundits are going on and on about them being in the hunt for the playoffs.
While I don’t necessarily buy that scenario (I would be ecstatic if it happened-don’t get me wrong) I am enjoying what has now turned into a three game winning streak.
Yesterday it was against the Bucs, a team the Jets are now 9-1 against all time.
They won without Mark Sanchez, and in spite of the fact that his backup Kellen Clemens was mediocre at best. He went into the red zone on 5 different drives only to have the team be forced to kick field goals.
I hate to be the one to say this, but he looked scared yesterday. After being in this system for the past four years, I really expected to see more out of him-especially with his contract up at the end of the season. Instead, the touchdowns the Jets got came from Thomas Jones, who is once again putting together a fabulous season.
The Jets defense played great-from the first snap of the game when David Harris picked off young Josh Freeman, to holding the Bucs to only 3 points after a tough penalty extended a drive in the second half.
They were held to only two first downs in the game, and Freeman had three interceptions by the time it was all said and done.
A nice win. Atlanta is up next. They don’t have a QB either. Should be interesting.

I think maaaaaaybe the Bucs are the suckier team after all. Ha. Congrats on the win.
Yeah you got it this time. I kid. Thanks though.
