Miami 14 – Jacksonville 10
Hit It: Pat White! Usually a Hit It celebrates something that happened in the game. I’m celebrating what didn’t happen this time. Woo hoo! Someone out there heard my weekly cries of “Oh, not again!” and “What in the world?!” I guess Sparano or Henning finally got a clue and left Pat White out of the lineup.
Quit It: Dan Carpenter. He must have heard me whining about too many field goals each week. He missed one! Okay, Danny boy, kick ‘em all you like! I’ll take the points any way we can get them from now on!
Hit It: Chad Henne. In the first half he couldn’t miss.
Quit It: Chad Henne. In the second half he couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.
Hit It: Lousaka Polite. The man is a monster. He did it again! I think this makes 11 for 11 on 3rd-and-short or 4th-and-short situations. Not only does he always get it, he usually gets extra.
Quit It: Fumbles. Count ‘em. Five! (Luckily, we only lost two.)
Hit It: Red-Zone Efficiency. 100%. Perfect!
Quit It: We only visited the red zone twice. And that was in the first half. In the second half, our offense didn’t see the red zone, but I think we did see red.
Hit It: Defense! I love you, guys! You were incredible. I’ve never seen so many 3 and outs in my life. Good job, boys!
