Colts stay undefeated…we have yet to hear from Mercury Morris

ReggieTDI woke up this morning and guess what one headline told me. “The Man Does It Again.” They were absolutely right. Once again Peyton Manning showed why he is one of if not the best QB in the NFL. Manning went 23 for 30 with 308 yards and 4 TDs. The Jags put up a valiant effort but in the end the Colts stayed perfect.

The game was crazy from the start. There were 10 lead changes in all and I actually thought…uh oh this might be it. However, I forgot that as long as Manning has Reggie Wayne the Colts are doing better than most. Down 31-28 with just a little more than 5 minutes to go Manning hit Wayne with a 65 yard bomb to go ahead and win 35-31. Jacksonville did have a chance in the waning moments. With a few minutes remaining David Garrard was intercepted by Jacob Lacey to seal the deal.

The Colts joined an exclusive group with the win last night. They are now just the third team to go 14-0 in NFL history along with the New England Patriots of 2007 and the Miami Dolphins of 1972. The Saints can join the party with a win over the Cowboys Saturday night. Normally around this time Mercury Morris shows up with a rap about how the Colts and/or Saints are going to lose and that his undefeated season will live on in history. Luckily we haven’t heard a peep from him yet.
