So…with all that’s changed in the last few weeks with this team and the miraculous win as a result of a game that we actually played well…I am hopeful. I know this is a Redskins fan’s greatest downfall, getting excited that maybe next season, we’ll have a chance. But I’ll take the risk.
While we’ve lost…a lot, there’s a promise that I’ve seen since that terrible Cowboys game. We held our own. And sorry Mr. Suisham, but in these economic times, you deserved to get dropped. Kicked so far off this team that whoever did the firing could have taken your place, because let’s face it, fault can be dropped square in front of your kicking foot. Now, to Mr. Gano, I’ve heard good things, and you didn’t disappoint me last week but then we weren’t counting on you for the win, we did damn well. I’m sure what the people are saying is right, you’re good, but if you screw up, I will toss you out of my memory the same way I did Suisham the moment I noticed he couldn’t take the heat…last season
To Mr. Cerrato. Good riddens…get someone in as GM who knows what they are talking about, rather than picking big names and having our favorite owner *cough* shell out crap loads of money so that people can take naps on the field. Seeing what I’ve seen the last few weeks, that maybe over. Someone or something (maybe this blog, ha!) has woken this team up. I’m finally seeing a team that I can enjoy watching. Completions, risks, energy excitement TOUCHDOWNS!!! Can you tell it had been a while? Well it had been. Too long. We are seeing these changes in the midst of physical team changes, Mr. Ganther for example, along with people like Reed Doughty starting and proving that these news guys are no joke. Unless of course the joke is on me. It would not be the first time.
There is one change I haven’t seen that I’m hoping I will see soon. Myself and the rest of the fan base would really appreciate if Antwaan Randle El would stop putting his uniform on. There is no excuse for the coaches to put him in every week. He sucks. He’s sucked for a long time. End of story. NO wait, I take that back…before he sucked, now I don’t think there is a word for him. He’s made some really irritating and stupid mistakes that could have made a big difference to this team. Cut him or bench him, he’s better off keeping that bench warm for the players that show up and do well than wasting our time screwing up or doing some mediocre move on the field and over compensating for his SUCK by celebrating too much. So much so that I wish…well let’s not talk about that.
Jason, dear boy, thank you for not looking so scared and showing up. I will say I was mighty proud of you last week. But please, stop with the back and forth with this…if you’re going to man up…stay that way. No one likes a fickle quarterback. Especially not me, because if I have to watch you play another game with that terrified look in your eyes I will have to turn off the TV and go into the self-induced football coma that I’ve been threatening all season. You’re good, or you have the capacity to be good, maybe great, but you have GOT to get yourself together.
So what’s my prediction for tonight? We’re taking it, the boys are hungry. They are also scared of completely losing their fan base due to a steadily imploding team. Anyone know who I blame for that?
