Miami 24 – Tennessee 27
Hit It: Pat White! He played and he didn’t kill any drives. Speechless.
Quit It: Lousaka Polite. He missed for the first time all year on third and short. We ended up kicking a 45 yard field goal. I don’t think it was his fault. The Dolphins weren’t ready and nearly had a delay of game situation just before snapping the ball. Chalk this one up to Chad Henne. I feel like letting Sparano off the hook.
Hit It: Ricky Williams. Ricky had another 100 yard game. He ran hard. He had me so happy when he fought for the TD run to send the game into OT.
Quit It: Fumbles. Please stop, Ricky. This one makes five for the year. It wasn’t your fault we lost this game, but cover the ball better next time, buddy.
Hit It: Tyrone Culver. Thanks for cleaning up Ted Ginn’s mess and falling on the ball.
Quit It: Ted Ginn. Dropped a punt in the first quarter. This kid is more afraid of being hit then a fat kid playing dodgeball.
Hit It: Brian Hartline. I like this guy a little more each week. He played a gutsy game. He even snatched a ball away from a Tennesse defender who was intercepting a Henne pass. Way to turn a bad play into a big gain!
Quit It: Chad Henne. You’ve got a long way to go, kid. And you have the dubious distinction of replacing Sparano on my bad list this week. Your bozo play cost us the game. Either learn from the mistakes you keep making or pack up and join the circus, clown.
I had meant to give a thumbs up to the defense for playing a decent game, but Chad Henne took the wind completely out of my sails. This season is over. No more dreamy optimism from this Dolphin Chick this year. At least Christmas is around the corner, so I have something to look forward to!
