Something to hit this week. Hey now!
Hit It. The Bucs won a game and doubled their wins in one week. Now how many teams can say a thing like that?
Quit It. Due to those 2 heady wins, the Bucs would currently pick 3rd in the draft. Meaning Ndamukong Suh may be out of their reach.
Hit It. Geno Hayes was all over the field, with an interception, a picked-up fumble, a sack, and 4 solo tackles. The defense forced 5 turnovers in all.
Quit It. The first half of the game was a typical Buc mess. The 1st half drives resulted in: interception, punt, missed field goal, punt, punt, field goal. Yikes. But I’m willing to overlook it.
Hit It. Josh Freeman had that future-star poise back, despite throwing an interception on his first pass of the game.
Quit It. Connor Barth missed another field goal. I guess there’s a reason he was available mid-season. But seriously, isn’t the continent of Europe filled with soccer players? Can’t the Bucs just go get one of them?
Hit It. Greg Olson finally called a balanced game. Both Cadillac Williams and Derrick Ward had a touchdown, and the successful running game really took the pressure off Josh Freeman to win the game single-handedly.
Quit It. Well, Olson mostly called a good game. Except when, on third and an inch, Josh Freeman handed off to Derrick Ward for a loss. Guys, Freeman is 6’6″ 250. He can lift his hand slightly and gain an inch.
Hit It. 24 unanswered points. Scoring the team’s first TD in 12 quarters. Traveling across country and still holding the ‘Hawks to 7 points. And winning!
