Sad Day for Packers Fans: Donald Driver Retires

He’s been to four Pro-Bowls, been a Super Bowl MVP, a Walter Payton Man of the Year, done countless Lambeau Leaps and even won Dancing With the Stars. Now, Donald Driver is ready to spend his Sundays watching the game of football instead of changing it. The Green Bay Packers wide receiver officially retired today and he went out the same way he came in, as a class act.

In a tearful press conference, Driver talked about what an honor it was to go from 7th round draft pick, to a record breaking receiver within his franchise. More than 1,000 fans showed up to say their farewells. Driver was honored not only for his work on the field but for his many charitable endeavors off the field. It was also revealed that he’s getting his own street: Donald Driver Way.
