Bears vs Packers: Welcome to Heartbreak

Hey Fellow Chicks! Usually when I blog here, I write with the same general outline for every article. I want to give you all my perspective on the game, provide relevant stats from the game, highlight key players, & take a look forward to the next game. Today, I'm not going to do that. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do,but it won't be that. Simply put, I'm pissed. I firmly believe that in the hearts of every true Packers fan lies a deeply rooted hatred for the Chicago Bears. My hatred is intensified because I am surrounded by Bears fans everywhere I go. So anytime the two teams meet up, it's a huge deal.  Now for the last 8 years, the Bears failed to come up with a … [Read more...]

Malice in Minnesota: Packers vs. Vikings

Growing up, my Grandmother always told me that if I was going to talk mess, that I had to be willing to stand behind what I said: good or bad. So at the conclusion of the 44-31 Packers victory, only one thing was on my mind…Greg Jennings must face Aaron Rodgers. So they talked...well it was more like Greg talked and Aaron listened. However, it gave me hope that a possible reconciliation was on the horizon. But holding hands and signing “Kumbaya” will in no way, shape, or form change the fact that Christian Ponder is Jennings’ new Quarterback…that is his sad reality. Luckily for Packers fans, Aaron Rodgers is our Quarterback…and boy, what a Quarterback he is! Rodgers is considered one of … [Read more...]

Packers vs. Browns: My Bittersweet Report

Yesterday was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. The Bears lost against the Redskins and the Packers won against the Browns. The Packers have established a fairly balanced offense with 253 passing yards and 104 rushing yards. Top performers included rookie Running back Eddie Lacy (22 carries, 82 yards, 1 TD) and Wide Receiver Jarrett Boykin (8 receptions, 103 yards, 1 TD). The defense also did their part with multiple players making key stops. Linebacker AJ Hawk has definitely stepped up during the absence of Clay Matthews and racked up 12 tackles yesterday. Also, Linebacker Jamari Lattimore achieved a career high with 12 tackles, 9 solos and 1 sack against the Browns. Even with such … [Read more...]

What To Expect: Packers vs. Ravens

As the 2-2 Green Bay Packers face the reigning Super Bowl Champions, I believe that we will definitely see a more confident Green Bay Packers team. I think that last week's win against the Detroit Lions showed them that, on both sides of the ball, they have what it takes to be a force in the NFC North. The key to success for the Packers lies in the hands of our Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. In order for Rodgers to be effective, our offensive line has to be impenetrable. When given time, Rodgers will find the open man (He is currently averaging 333 passing yards per game). Also, our entire offensive arsenal needs to be at Rodgers disposal. Key playmakers like Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, … [Read more...]

From Bengals to Bye: Packers Recover From Week 4

When a kiddie pool has more depth than your active roster, it’s time for a bye week. My beloved Packers were dropping like flies Sunday as we handed a gift-wrapped victory to the Cincinatti Bengals.  It began with a seemingly accidental yet powerful blow to Jermichael Finley by Bengals Safety George Iloka…then an injured knee on James Starks (who was starting as a backup to previously injured running back Eddie Lacy). Rookie Johnathan Franklin replaced Starks and rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in his first regular season NFL appearance. Impressive.  But with four minutes left in the the fourth quarter and the game on the line, Franklin fumbled. The fumble and … [Read more...]
