It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye…Again: Deuce Announcing Retirement

deuce mcallister takes the field
Break up to make up, that’s all we do, huh Deuce? One week after resigning with the New Orleans Saints, running back Deuce McAllister plans to announce he’s retiring from the NFL. The move was in part motivated by the Saints need to free up a roster spot in light of wide receiver Robert Meachem’s injury. Deuce says he’ll still be on the sidelines as a guest captain on Sunday when the Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game.

David Patten Released: 2 Questions Remain

david-pattenYeah, yeah, the Saints releasedDavid Patten. Sad ain’t it. But there are still more important questions to stress over.

1) Why is Martin Grammatica still on the roster?
I mean seriously, shouldn’t that have been priority #1? Like when they were making the call to David Patten, shouldn’t someone have thrown their hands up and said “Whoa, whoa, whoa!!! No one gets cut until Martin gets cut!” And shouldn’t that same someone have smacked the phone out of the hand of the person about to dial and called for his immediate termination? Man, do those Saints need me in their front office or what?

2) Is Deuce next?

Deuce.

Congratulations to Deuce McAllister for breaking a record formerly set by Dalton Hilliard by scoring the 54th rushing touchdown of his career as a Saint. Best of all, the record setting TD finally puts Green Bay in our highlight reel! Ha ha bitches!!Thank you #26. Thank you for who you are, thank you for what you do, and no matter what, you’ll always be a Saint to the Chicks!
