Hit it and Quit it (really just quit it)
I can usually come up with a slew of “Hit its” that are really just my attempt at keeping us Bills fans sane and upbeat and away from the dark hole of giving up. But I really don’t know if I’ll be able to come up with more than one or two this week. That’s not me slipping back into the negativity I’ve broken away from, it’s just me keepin’ it real. Let’s play.
Hit It & Quit It Bucs-Style: Week 15
Something to hit this week. Hey now!
Hit It. The Bucs won a game and doubled their wins in one week. Now how many teams can say a thing like that?
Quit It. Due to those 2 heady wins, the Bucs would currently pick 3rd in the draft. Meaning Ndamukong Suh may be out of their reach.
Hit It. Geno Hayes was all over the field, with an interception, a picked-up fumble, a sack, and 4 solo tackles. The defense forced 5 turnovers in all.
Hit it and Quit it Titans Tuesday!
I have to admit that I’ve been having a little trouble getting into the Christmas spirit this year. I blame it on having a real-person job. For the past four years, come December I was finishing up exams and making plans for my month of holiday freedom. I had time to bake cookies, wrap presents and actually enjoy the snow without having to shovel out my car. Now? I have to squeeze in Christmas shopping a couple days before the big day. It’s become a stressful nightmare. But if there is one thing that can get me in the mood for all things holiday, it’s an early gift. So thank you very much, Miami (picture the little Dolphin logo wearing a Santa hat instead of a helmet). Thanks for playing a great game against my Titans. Thanks for clawing back in the second half and making the game exciting. Thanks Chad Henne for that gift-wrapped interception in overtime. Thanks Greg Camarillo for your unnecessary roughness stocking stuffer. And THANK YOU FOOTBALL SANTA FOR GETTING THE TITANS BACK TO .500!!
Hit it & Quit it!
Lately, “Hit it & Quit it” has been a lovefest. This week, not so much. Let’s make this quick and as painless as possible.
Hit it! Fred Jackson. 99 yards. Great returns. The only thing that would have made this all perfect is if you were featured RB again–I think you could have had all those 200 rushing yards to yourself. I’m sorry, I don’t know why nobody at One Bills Drive will listen to me, maybe next season.
