So ESPN has ranked the NFC’s tight ends and guess who’s tight end *giggle* came in #1? Thanks right THE ATLANTA FALCONS’ TONY GONZALEZ *applause and fan fare* here’s the complete list (via ESPN.com’s Pat Yasinkas):
1. Tony Gonzalez. Atlanta. He might be the best tight end ever. Yes, he’s nearing the end of his career, but the Falcons didn’t bring him in to be a decoy.
2. Kellen Winslow, Tampa Bay. He never has quite reached his potential because of injuries and other reasons. But Winslow has as much physical talent as any tight end in the league. If he can show it on a consistent basis, the Bucs will justify the trade for him.
What Happens to Shockey in Vegas…Doesn’t Stay in Vegas
When your star tight end ends up as the lead story on TMZ, it can’t be good.
Seems as though Jeremy Shockey needs a lesson from Nola Chick in partying hard…without the public pass out. According to the gossip site, Shockey had to be taken out of a party called “Rehab” (insert obvious drunkard joke here) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on a stretcher. The official word from the Saints is that he was taken to the hospital for dehydration and he’s doing fine.
