Monday Night in the Dome-Terror Threat: Black

If you woke up this morning and the first thing on your mind was scoring a $10 toaster from Target while not getting crushed by an angry mob, your priorities were all out of whack, my friend. This Black Friday, Nola Chick has but one thing on her mind: The Monday Night Blackout.

Hit it and Quit it – Special Wednesday Edition

It’s not often that my Titans play on Monday night, but if waiting for an MNF game means winning, I’ll take it!

Four in a row. Just rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Well, maybe not. But that hasn’t stopped me from enjoying the sweet ring it has. After the embarrassing six-week slide into the dungeon of the power rankings, Tennessee has stepped up their game – BIG TIME. This win against Houston wasn’t easy, but what’s that saying? Oh yeah – A WIN IS A WIN! This one seems extra special though, mainly because I actually got to watch it.

That Hurt.

Attention Ted Thompson: Brett Favre had a message for you last night during the Packers 30-23 loss to the Vikings. And he spelled it out pretty clearly: R-E-V-E-N-G-E.

What can I say? Favre was every inch of the quarterback that the Packer franchise came to know, love and worship for 16 years. With no turnovers in sight, Favre went 24 for 31 and connected for three touchdown passes and 271 yards. Not too shabby.

The Old vs. the Green and Gold

When Brett Favre declared that he would be wearing purple this season, the next United States Civil War almost commenced. Wisconsites had their pitchforks ready and were prepared to run the state line with their #4s burning.

Alas, war did not break out… well, not yet. There will be blood, however, on Monday night when the Packers take on the Vikings in the Minneapolis Metrodome. And all I can say is Brett Favre (or as I more commonly refer to him, Judas Favre) better be ready for battle.

Got my heart broken but it’s all good

Last night’s MNF was the best I’ve had in two years sans alcohol and tears–until 5:32 rolled around. Then I transformed from excessively hyper Bills Chick tweeting “#GOBILLS” and “Jackson is a beastttt” and “Trent is actually mobile” and “our D is killinnn it” every other second… to Bills Chick without a voice, ready to throw her computer, phone and anything else within reach at the TV and her brother. Because around 5:32 is when the Patriots showed why they’re consistently at the top of the league. With a pair of touchdowns, the Pats took the score from 24-13 (Bills) to 24-25 (::gag::Patriots ::gag::). And just like that, the night went from most surprising and best ever…to “If I don’t run this off I’m going to explode but it’s 10 p.m. so I guess I’ll just settle for jumping out the window.”
