Your Net Worth=More Than Terrell Owens

APTOPIX Giants Cowboys Football

When Terrell Owens decided to play for an Indoor Football League, we knew he must be in pretty bad financial shape. But apparently, it's even worse than imagined. The man who was once an All-Pro receiver and earned more than $60 million during his NFL career, now owes the IRS more than $400,000 in back taxes. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have an estimated net worth of zero dollars and zero cents. Yep, my dog and Terrell Owens have the same nest egg. Here's what TMZ dug up on the fallen star's latest financial woes. … [Read more...]

2012 Week 15 Picks

This week - tonight, in fact - the Eagles will be hosting the Bengals at the Linc. On the one hand, the monkey's off their back - they finally won a game. On the other hand, the Bengals don't have the worst-ranked pass defense. Also, they are currently holding the #7 playoff spot in the AFC, looking up at slumping division rival the Steelers. They have every reason to bring it, and I expect them to. Bengals. In the rest of the matchups: Redskins at Browns: The big question in DC this week isn't the fiscal cliff or what's going on in Syria or the upcoming inauguration, or the ever-amusing local corruption. NFaiL: Vince is Broke and Chad is Sorry

vince young

Oh Vinny Young. It seems like just a few years ago you were losing your mind as quarterback of the Tennessee Titans. Now, you're broke, jobless and apparently a future Weight Watchers spokesperson due to a Cheesecake Factory addiction. They grow up so fast! We learned this week that not only did Vince Young squander away $26 million over his six year career, but we also heard rumors about just what he may have wasted his money on. Apparently Vince just loves him some Louisiana Chicken Pasta from Chessecake Factory (and who among us doesn't?) because he reportedly dropped about $5k a week at the restaurant during his rookie season. That's according to waiters who called into a radio … [Read more...]

...apparently a whole mess of stuff, according to the average American. And I thought it was just me and my fellow chicks who suffered from an odd, unhealthy obsession with the game. But nope, it turns out the rest of you are a bunch of weirdos, too! Hooray!! According to a survey run by CouponCabin.com (I know, I know...but just hear me out), 20% of people said they would miss a loved one's funeral if their favorite team was in the game. (Say what?!!!) 21% would miss an important work responsibility and 20 percent would miss the wedding of a close friend. (If someone cares so little about the Super Bowl that they would plan their wedding on game day, are they really worth being friends … [Read more...]

2011 Wildcard Weekend Recap

Texans over Bengals: The Bengals started strong, looked like they had it in the first half. But they had the proverbial uncapitalized opportunities, and by the second half, homefield advantage was kicking in in a big way. The Texans' fans were going nuts non-stop for 3 1/2 hours, and the Bengals eventually succumbed. Well, to the fans and to Arian Foster's 150+ yards on the ground. Realistically, neither of these teams was going to go far, but congratulations on your first playoff win, former Team of Destiny. Clearly, I should've kept the faith. Saints over Lions: As expected. Did you notice the game was poorly officiated? Because it was SO poorly officiated, the NFL has officially … [Read more...]
