The NFL Wives Club: Meet the Superwoman

Sabrina Coleman, the wife of Atlanta Falcons safety Erik Coleman, has “America’s Sweetheart” written all over her. But get her in a gym and she’s got the kind of fierceness and intensity that would make you think twice about cutting her off on the freeway. The brunette beauty instantly goes from Supermodel to Superwoman.

Coleman, who is a new mom, is currently training to compete for Ms. Bikini Georgia. Her workout routine nearly rivals what her football player husband goes through to stay in shape for the NFL. So, as you might imagine, her body is sick. No, not “a boob job and 3 nip tucks later” fit. I’m talking a living, breathing She-Ra.

Saints v. Falcons Recap: I’m Walking on Sunshine!

saints vs falcons atl
The game day weather in Atlanta for the Saints and Falcons much anticipated match up was about as ugly as the rivalry between these two teams: Cold, rainy and crummy. But soon the clouds and rain cleared and the temperature began a steady climb. (Oh yeah, this Saints fan could feel the heat.) Just when that hot air, mainly from trash talking Falcons fans, almost seemed oppressive, the conditions improved dramatically.

Gotta love a cool afternoon Brees.

If Hating the Falcons is Wrong, I Don’t Wanna Be Right

When you’re born and raised a Saints fan, 3 things are inevitable.
1) You will be diagnosed with high blood pressure by age 16.
2) Your liver will shrink to the size of a chestnut due to excessive alcohol intake
3) With every fiber of your being, you will loathe with a blinding rage the Atlanta Falcons

Tasty Orange Turnover

blog-vert-petersonAnd for dessert…4 tasty orange turnovers prepared by our new head chef Mike Peterson!

Mwahahahahahahha- Tooooooold yall :-) FalconsChick was very excited to watch this game, and see our defense be dynamic. Before all the hardcore fans come at me citing that our secondary needs work, I know. Hopefully before we play a team with good pass offense we’ll have put some work in.  Our offense looked niiiice, who caught Tony G line up and block? He’s going to definitely confuse defenses. I only hope that Matt doesn’t forget about Turner, Norwood, and gang…keep it versitile and with minimal tendencies. Lastly what was probably  most noticable was the kicking game *sigh* Jason Elam missed 3 kicks. Why? I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt-but just in case lets get the back up kicker ready.  Looking on to Carolina already-its another 1:00pm game and I’ve got my ticket! Here are my Top 4 highlights:

Rise and Grind

bildeSo yeah, it’s a match-up between the Birdies and the Kitties…a match-up the Birdies won two of the last three times they met. But we all know the preseason is more about self-evaluation anyway.
The biggest questions are on the line. Literally. Neither the offensive or defensive lines are set in stone, (and they are areas that need immense improvement) so expect lots of lineup changes there. I do know it’ll be nice to see Larry Foote in a Lions uniform.
Also, not sure if the vets will play much, but actually…some of the rookies won’t be playing either. It’s a precaution, but one that should let you know these players are pretty highly rated by the staff. First-round pick TE Brandon Pettigrew might likely be out because of a thigh injury, and S Louis Delmas hasn’t been in many drills in over a week because of his knee.
The receivers race will be down to Eric Fowler, who’s trying to escape a third year on the practice squad, and Demir Boldin, younger brother of Anquan. Calvin Johnson has a thumb injury, second-string John Standeford has a hamstring issue, and Bryant Johnson missed the first 12 days of camp with a “non-football injury”…that he sustained on a golf cart… *side eye*
One vet who might not get to rest is Daunte Culpepper. Maybe Dan Stanton will get to play for a minute, but on the one hand the team is in looove w/ Matt Stafford…then they say Culpepper is playing “like a kid again.” Will grandpa return to glory or will the kid knock him on his back?
Oh – in the meantime we might also pull out a W against the Falcons. Let’s not forget, however, that the Lions were the only team to have a perfect preseason last year….so win, lose, or draw, this game matters about as much as Paula Abdul leaving American Idol.
At the very least, it’s a chance for the Lions to debut their new unis.
