NFL 2013 Free Agency: It’s Time to Start Caring

We're now about 24 hours away from the start of NFL Free Agency's open market, which means we can finally start freaking out about who may be going where (unlike NFL Network and ESPN, who have been freaking out for weeks.) Who could blame us for waiting until the last minute? It's not exactly like last off-season, when we had the "Peyton Manning Sweepstakes" to entertain us. This time around, it's second tier stars like Ahmad Bradshaw and Greg Jennings. They're not exactly Prom Kings but you'd still be excited if they asked you to the big dance. Here's our breakdown of some of the biggest Free Agency story lines so far. Tony Gonzales, Falcons TE: Expected to stay with the team for … [Read more...]

Packers Cheerleader Fights Bullying (Must See)

cheerleadersign2

It's been a tough year for Bears fans. Their team failed to make the playoffs AND they lost their coach. So in typical, classy Bears fan fashion, they took their aggression out on the person who REALLY deserved it. A former cheerleader for the Green Bay Packers. Someone put up a picture of Kaitlyn Collins on a Bears Facebook fan page and decided to diss her looks. And of course, other fans decided to pile on. The photo was eventually removed and the fans were chided for hitting below the belt. But Collins, being the tough Wisconsin broad she is, decided to fight back! Here's a video she posted on YouTube in response to the bullies. Who knew telling a group of people to f*ck off … [Read more...]

He's been to four Pro-Bowls, been a Super Bowl MVP, a Walter Payton Man of the Year, done countless Lambeau Leaps and even won Dancing With the Stars. Now, Donald Driver is ready to spend his Sundays watching the game of football instead of changing it. In a tearful press conference, Driver talked about what an honor it was to go from 7th round draft pick, to a record breaking receiver within his franchise. More than 1,000 fans showed up to say their farewells. Driver was honored not only for his work on the field but for his many charitable endeavors off the field. It … [Read more...]

The Return of Hit it and Quit it

Image = thumbs-up-down

There were plenty of big story lines this week. SportsCenter will play all of them on repeat for the next 72 hours. But if you want to get the scoop and avoid seeing the "Discount Double Check" commercial 63 times (and not the good one with B.J. Raji), allow us to break down the highlights and low-lights of week 5, in a way that only the Chicks can. Let's Hit it and Quit it, people! Hit It Even with a losing record, Drew Brees is still breaking records. How fitting that he broke the original "#19" Johnny Unitas' record for consecutive games with a touchdown to the Saints' #19, Devery Henderson. Quit It The Patriots/Broncos game almost lived up to all the hype. That is until Willis … [Read more...]

The Saints Are 0-4…And I Still Believe

Let's get the ugly out of the way right off the bat. 1) Even though the Saints' defense didn't necessarily lose the game for us against the Packers, it was sad to know shortly after Garrett Hartley's kick sailed wide left that they wouldn't win it for us either. After all, who could expect them to force a three and out when the closest think we got to a sack on Aaron Rodgers all game long was an accidental eye-gouging at the hands of Malcolm Jenkins? 2) Even when the offense is good, it's sloppy. Sure we did a better job of protecting Drew and giving him time to throw the ball, but does it matter when all the wide receivers act like he's tossing them a dirty diaper? Catch the damn ball. 3) … [Read more...]
