Well Saints fans, it was bound to happen. No matter how good an NFL team is, that team is bound to lose at some point in its season. It's been that way for more than 40 years. And in the same way that there are character building wins, there can be character building losses. The last thing you want is for that character building first loss to come in a Super Bowl as it did for the devil's spawn, a.k.a. the New England Patriots. For the New Orleans Saints, that loss came against said spawn and quite honestly, it couldn't come at a better time. We all knew going into this season the Saints would face a tough road game stretch against the Chicago Bears and Pats. Both teams are solid and … [Read more...]

The Buccaneers head to New England to face off against the Patriots today. Though most years this would be a battle easily won by Tom Brady and his team, the Patriots are a weakened bunch, as Brady has lost his top targets. Wide receiver Wes Welker is gone, as is a certain tight end with off-the-field issues who shall remain nameless. Current Pats wide receiver Danny Amendola and tight end Rob Gronkowski will likely still be benched with injuries this week (Amendola is listed as doubtful, Gronkowski as questionable). According to an article in the Wall St. Journal, the league is fed up with scalpers and third-party ticket websites making enormous profits off of Super Bowl ticket resales. So, instead of finding a way to stick it to the resellers, the league will instead stick it to the little guy. Here's the latest from the WSJ: According … [Read more...]

We came to know her as "that beeyatch from Laguna Beach." Then, she evolved into "that beeyatch from The Hills." Following a few stints in bad movies and on bad TV shows, Kristin Cavallari has finally found a role we can get behind: designer of fabulous female football fan apparel. It's a venture that makes sense, given her innate fashion sense and the fact that she's literally married to the game. Cavallari is the wife of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. She recently unveiled her new line, in partnership with Junk Food Clothing, at New York Fashion Week. As for what inspired her to design female fan apparel, she says: "Football is a huge part of my life and fashion is a huge … [Read more...]

Let’s Talk About #SexyRexy

Chicks, I'll admit it. I found myself catching the vapors last night. And not just because Tom Brady looked like he might slit his wrist with a Gillette razor if a receiver dropped another pass. It was that fellow, nay, that warrior on the Jets sideline, distracting me in all his slimmer, yet still fleshy glory. It was that tan hunk of man known to the masses as Rex Ryan. Who knew that underneath those hundreds of pounds of flesh and swagger, lie a pretty handsome dude? Sure he revealed his new figure months ago, but there was something about seeing him on the sidelines, full of rage and sadness that he coached the Jets, that got me all hot and bothered. Just look at him! Almost … [Read more...]
