Turkey Day Catastrophe
No heroics or theatrics in this game, folks. Well, not from the Lions anyway.
Aaron Rodgers and Donald Driver? Their connections were electric!
But my boys? Out to lunch…or dinner, what have you. *shrugs*
I know you felt as though you were being force fed this game…but please admit that you were a little hopeful, coming off last Sunday’s last-minute hat trick and 5 TD passes for Stafford.
Orange you glad I didn’t say Buccaneer?
Here’s the good news: I’m going to the game this weekend! I get to see the young Bucs live in all of their wonderful, creamsicle glory, prancing around the field like the swashbuckling dandies that they have proven to be this year.
Here’s the bad news: The Bucs are going to lose.
I mean, ok, there is always a chance the Bucs could win. Any given Sunday, and blah blah blah. But the odds are stacked against the Buccaneers because, well, the Green Bay Packers are the much better team. The Pack has a decent QB in Aaron Rodgers, and his main weakness (holding onto the ball too long) will likely not be exploited by the Bucs’ nonexistent pass rush. Plus, tackles Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher are back from injury to protect Rodgers this week.
Prime Time Win No. 19 in Wisco
Wisconsin, we did it again… Detroit was dealt their 19th consecutive loss in the state of Wisconsin. And all I can say it: Ouch.
With another NFC North victory in under our belt, the Green Bay Packers are now tied for second in the conference. Much thanks go out to the Atlanta Falcons for taking down the Bears in the second half of the Sunday night game. With their 21-14 loss and our 26-0 victory over the Lions, we’re sharing the spotlight behind the 5-0 Vikings (with none other than Judas Favre at the helm of a purple and gold victory drive.)
The Old vs. the Green and Gold

When Brett Favre declared that he would be wearing purple this season, the next United States Civil War almost commenced. Wisconsites had their pitchforks ready and were prepared to run the state line with their #4s burning.
Alas, war did not break out… well, not yet. There will be blood, however, on Monday night when the Packers take on the Vikings in the Minneapolis Metrodome. And all I can say is Brett Favre (or as I more commonly refer to him, Judas Favre) better be ready for battle.
