It's been a tough year for Bears fans. Their team failed to make the playoffs AND they lost their coach. So in typical, classy Bears fan fashion, they took their aggression out on the person who REALLY deserved it. A former cheerleader for the Green Bay Packers. Someone put up a picture of Kaitlyn Collins on a Bears Facebook fan page and decided to diss her looks. And of course, other fans decided to pile on. The photo was eventually removed and the fans were chided for hitting below the belt. But Collins, being the tough Wisconsin broad she is, decided to fight back! ...apparently a whole mess of stuff, according to the average American. And I thought it was just me and my fellow chicks who suffered from an odd, unhealthy obsession with the game. But nope, it turns out the rest of you are a bunch of weirdos, too! Hooray!! According to a survey run by CouponCabin.com (I know, I know...but just hear me out), 20% of people said they would miss a loved one's funeral if their favorite team was in the game. (Say what?!!!) 21% would miss an important work responsibility and 20 percent would miss the wedding of a close friend. Now that the season is over, I can share a little secret with all you football chicks. As you may remember, I attended the Bucs vs. Bears game at Wembley Stadium this fall. I posted pictures of some crazy fans, and I talked about the British NFL experience, but I never mentioned the migraine. That's right, around the second quarter of the game, I started feeling the beginnings of a headache. Those of you who get migraines know what I'm talking about. It starts with just a little teeny pain in your temple, but you know a bigger, badder pain is coming. And of course on this particular trip, I'd not brought my migraine medicine.
