Time to Go to the Other Side

On this glorious Tuesday after The Kick, I can only say one thing…Who Dat!

Well, possibly more than one thing.

Monday morning as I sifted through my email, I came across my word of the day from Merriam-Webster online (yes, I am that much of a dork). And, the word of the day you ask?

Valhalla.

No joke.

Saints Chick Chow: Farv-a Bean Dip

As I sit here to write this recipe, I have already cried twice since 5am, smoked a pack of cigarettes, and listened to my Who Dat CD numerous times (it’s on Do Whatcha Wanna right now) and it’s only 8:12am. We all have a long day ahead of us, my darling chicks and roosters, and let’s get a rolling!

Saints Chick Chow: Bacon Wrapped Cardinal Wings

Boy oh boy do I have a treat for you today! In honor of the Saints clinching the #1 seed in the playoffs, the chicks will offer local chef’s recipes throughout the postseason all the way up to the Superbowl.

Today’s delicacy comes from Chef Richard Gonzalez of Tomatillo’s Restaurant in the Faubourg Marigny in New Orleans. Tomatillo’s features Neuvo Latino cuisine and you can enjoy 300 flavor combinations of margaritas, live music, and pet-friendly dining in their beautiful courtyard. Their food is excellent, the surroundings are beautiful, and their staff is friendly and well-informed. For today’s game, they are offering their all you can eat fajita buffet and free shots any time the Saints score. They also have plenty of televisions for you to kick back, eat some deuce-a-licious food (sorry, had to get that one in there), and watch our boys march to victory.

The Deuce is Back

The Deuce is LooseIs it that Mercury Retrograde ends today or that there’s a solar eclipse? Not sure what’s going on with our wacky astrology, but one thing I know is that earlier today the New Orleans Saints re-signed our glorious Deuce McAlister.

Good day indeed and all this confirms that we are so going to the Superbowl.

More to come when we receive further updates, so stay tuned.

And, welcome home, Deuce!

Saints Chick Chow: Virtual Brownies for Our Virtually Unstoppable Punter

Enjoy those brownies, Thomas!

Enjoy those brownies, Thomas!

If you happened to read my interview with Thomas Morstead from earlier this week, you know that a member of his family brings him brownies to eat before every game and during halftime. It started off with his grandmother dropping him off the goodies prior to a game when he was a student at SMU and it became a family tradition.
