Hit it!
Ahh yes, that fall Brees is back! Our MVP looked like the quarterback we’ve all come to know and love against the Bucs. How delightful that he finally ditched the Jay Cutler impersonation.
Hit It…again!
Jon Vilma, Malcolm Jenkins and Chris Reis: these dudes caught just as many passes from Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman as Bucs “star” wide receiver Michael Clayton.
Quit it!
We know you’re excited to break through defensive lines and run all over people Mike Bell but could you curb your enthusiasm next time around? 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalties won’t fly against teams with winning records.

Darren Sharper! Darren Sharper! Darren Sharper! Just checking to see if, much like in the movie “Candyman”, saying Sharper’s name three times would make him appear in my apartment. Didn’t work. What a waste of a bikini wax. Anyhow, I think we’ve answered the question of which player is the Saints’ most productive offseason pickup. Sharper’s still got plenty of gas in his tank and he’s using it to fuel a fired up secondary. He’s averaging more picks so far this season than most of the Saints defensive backs averaged in all of 2008. Baby daddy of the week, without a doubt, right?
Saints Vs Jets Recap: R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
To all those who jumped on the “defense wins games” bandwagon before the offensively sound New Orleans Saints took on the defensively sound New York Jets, you were right on the money. It was a defense that made the difference in the dome on Sunday, with 3 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 4 sacks. What they probably didn’t anticipate is that it’d be the Saints defense putting up those jaw dropping stats.
What You Talking Bout Roger?
Nola Chick smells something fishy…and this time, the stench doesn’t trace back to Tila Tequila. Roger Goodell has decided to let Saints defensive ends Will Smith and Charles Grant start in this Sunday’s season opener against the Lions. Both players were supposed to be suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s banned substance policy last year. But since the case is still under appeal, Goodell, through a spokesperson, has green lit Grant and Smith for opening weekend.

Can This Man Save Us?

The Saints have hired former Redskins and Jaguars defensive coordintor Gregg Williams to take our embattled defense from among the worst to among the first. It’s a move that’s sure to get mixed reviews from the outspoken black and gold nation. If you don’t know crap about this guy, here’s a quick recap.
