Saints vs Panthers Recap: Moving Along, Nothing to See Here

Have you ever been to a movie and:
a) fell asleep
b) watched most of it with your fingers covering your eyes

Not So Jive Turkeys…

Wow. The Jets won on Sunday. Maybe it was my new shirt? Or the new bar I went to watch the game in, but it was one of the best football Sunday’s I have had in a very long time.
Just about everything went the Jets way-and it was fun to watch.
The recently benched Kerry Rhodes had two pick offs, and Darrelle Revis had another two. It was like a whole different team came out to play.
Jive Turkey…part 1

This Sunday, the Jets attempt to shake off post Thanksgiving drowsiness and a nasty little three game losing streak against the Panthers, in what should more properly be titled-the battle to not end up 4-7.
The Panthers have struggled as well, and are coming off a tough Thursday night loss to the Dolphins. Not good, and the way Delhomme has been playing-one has to wonder how he still has a job…unless you follow the Jets too.

I even had a bag of peanut M&M’s handy which I only half-jokingly called my “emergency disaster packet.” I was ready for disappointment and prepared for pain.
Saints vs Panthers: We’re Halfway There…Whoa-oh…Livin’ on a Prayer!

Remember when we used to wear brown paper bags to cover our heads? This year, I’m using them to breathe into. It’s become painfully clear that being perfect ain’t easy.
Midway through the season, the Saints are undefeated but it wouldn’t be the Saints without bringing a little heart-attack inducing drama to the table. For the third week in a row, our boys in black and gold pulled off a dramatic come from behind victory. This time, it was those Cardiac Cats, aka the Carolina Panthers, giving us Saints fans a reason to reach for the blood pressure medication. And in keeping with tradition, it was the defense that helped to solidify the win. An ugly win, yes, but a win nonetheless.
