13 and Inches: The Saints’ Pierre Thomas on the Run to Perfection
When New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas scores a touchdown and looks to the sky, he’s not checking for rain or waiting for fireworks. He’s thinking about his Grandpa Crockett, the man who passed away too soon to see what the Chicago native would become. James Crockett was a major figure in Pierre’s life as a child. He died shortly after Thomas started playing football, never getting a chance to watch his grandson chase his dreams. So, instead of using touchdowns as a way to show off his dance moves, taunt opposing fans, or don a beret and mustache on the sidelines in some PR stunt, Thomas points to the sky as a sign of love and respect for his grandpa.
Saints v. Falcons Recap: I’m Walking on Sunshine!
The game day weather in Atlanta for the Saints and Falcons much anticipated match up was about as ugly as the rivalry between these two teams: Cold, rainy and crummy. But soon the clouds and rain cleared and the temperature began a steady climb. (Oh yeah, this Saints fan could feel the heat.) Just when that hot air, mainly from trash talking Falcons fans, almost seemed oppressive, the conditions improved dramatically.
Gotta love a cool afternoon Brees.

Redskins fans who watched victory slip through their team’s fingers against the Saints on Sunday likely had one of three thoughts:
a) We’re cursed. Someone put a hex on us. Why football gods? WHY!!!!

In the wake of an impressive win against the Patriots, all eyes are on the New Orleans Saints and their possible march toward a perfect season. But with their success comes a steady barrage of questions. Which team will be the team to tarnish their perfect record? Can they even be stopped? And what exactly is up with Drew Brees’ hair? I mean, it’s not quite a comb over and not exactly a mullet. It just sort of fans out over his forehead.
