Another win…
Another step closer to our 6th NFC East title in the Reid/McNabb era.
I expected this to be a more dominating win. Not that the 49ers are bad – their whupping of the Cardinals last week showed that they’re actually a pretty decent team – but I expected more of our team.
2009 Week 15 Picks
Chef Spouse, in all his smarticity, has literally done the math and realized that, as long as we beat the Cowboys in Dallas January 3, the next two weeks don’t matter. Don’t believe him? Peep this, uh, peeps:
Current Standings:
Eagles 9-4
Cowboys 8-5
Giants 7-6
Redskins…wait, who?
Anyway, if the Giants win out, they go 10-6. If the Eagles lose the next two games, we go into the final game 9-6. If the Cowboys win the next two games, they go into the final game 10-5. Assuming we beat them in the final game, we would have three 10-6 teams in the NFC East. We beat the Giants twice, so they’re out. We’ll have split wins with Dallas. However, our divisional record of 5-1 will spank the Cowboys’ 3-3.
Playoff Possibilities Grow Stronger for the Pack
Green Bay fans, it looks like there’s hope after all. With this week’s 30-24 win over the San Francisco 49ers, the Pack is back in the thick of the playoff race. Albeit, we’re gunning for a Wild Card spot, since it appears as though Judas Favre and the Minnesota Vikings have the NFC North position locked with their nauseatingly impressive record of 8-1.
Loving This Whole “Winning” Thing!
All I can say is THANK YOU TO THE PERSON WHO INVENTED BYE WEEKS! For whatever reason, post-bye week Tennessee looks like they actually know how to play football! I know, it’s a crazy thought for a team that started the season 0-6, but against all odds, my ragtag bunch of lovable losers has started the transformation into legitimate NFL team!
Two-Game Win Streak on the Horizon?
I don’t want to get cocky about Tennessee’s chances this week because Lord knows this season has been one miscue after another. But last week’s epic win against Jacksonville reminded me of the quality players the Titans have on both sides of the ball. Instead of listing areas for potential failure against the 49ers this Sunday, I’d prefer to ride any semblance of positive momentum to a second straight week of celebratory blogging!
