The Young and the Arrest-less
One of the Saints rising defensive stars is getting some extra preseason attention for his speed…but not on the field. Usama Young got arrested in a suburb of New Orleans for traffic violations. Police pulled him over when they say they clocked Young going 55 in a 40 mph zone. They quickly discovered he had an outstanding ticket for parking in the handicapped spot of a mall parking lot earlier this year. Oh Usama…why?
The Young and the Restless: Part 1
When you grow up in a family of 7 brothers, you quickly learn tough lessons like overcoming disappointment and dealing with “harsh critics.” Usama Young’s been getting the “Bobby Brady” treatment for as long as he can remember. But it’s those early lessons that keep him well grounded, positive, and downright enthusiastic about being a defensive back in one of the most criticized secondaries in the NFL. You see, it’s not that he doesn’t hear the crowd’s boos when the Saints’ defense gives up those big plays. He just knows how to turn every setback into a motivating force to help him step up his game.
Saints Make Super Bowl Appearance!
Sure it was just in a commercial, but we’ll take it. Congratulations to Usama Young for winning the NFL’s Super Ad Challenge. He did us proud! (Wow, a Saints cornerback getting national recognition and not for getting torched on a 90 yard play. Who woulda thunk it?!)
Black and Gold Love on Super Bowl Sunday
For one Saint, the chance to shine in the Super Bowl spotlight didn’t die when Robbie Gould kicked our playoff wishes right out of Soldier Field. Usama Young, the team’s second year corner, has a chance to star in his own Super Bowl ad. But he can’t do it without your help!
